Overtones: Also known as structural colors. Overtones occur when light refracts and interferes, much like rainbows or soap bubbles.

 

• They change with different angles.

• Common colors include pink, blue, and green sheen.

• Structural colors give pearls a more dynamic appearance and are an important indicator of pearl quality.

For example, A white pearl may have pink or blue overtone, making it appear more beautiful.
